mycat.pictures

For photographers

mycat.pictures/by/you — a free, shareable page for your work.

Is it free?

Yes. Creating your mycat.pictures/by/you page and uploading your work is free.

Free forever?

We’ll always keep a free tier for your profile pictures and pictures of Events and Places. We may introduce paid categories.

Why upload my photos here?

You get a clean page you can share anywhere, with a clear link out to your own contact info. You upload the photos you choose, and people who find your work reach you directly.

What do I need to join?

Just an email address and a name to credit your photos — your first and last name, your business name, etc. We suggest you add a public contact/rates page and other sites where people can find your work — SmugMug, Unsplash, Pixieset, Flickr, Instagram, even a Linktree.

How do the local pages work?

Pages like mycat.pictures/by/portland-photographers and /by/oregon-photographers are organized by photographer, latest pictures first. Want to move up the page — or stay right at the front? Keep uploading your recent work.

FAQ

Why is it free?

We assembled a system for analyzing photos, and we limit the content we accept to keep our moderation costs as low as possible. We only store 25 photos per album — not every photo you’ve ever taken in RAW. And we resize your picture so it displays quickly.

What gets dropped?

We’re PG-rated, maybe even G. You’re not going to see Portland’s Naked Bike Ride here. No close-ups of people’s faces where there might need to be a model release. Indoor photos need to be clearly of a public event.

What if I want to take my pictures down?

We hope you don’t — but they’re your pictures. You can remove one picture, some pictures from an album, or everything.

Why do you limit uploads to 25 per album?

We want 10 of your best pictures, not a dump of 517.
